 Savoyards is an extraordinarily creative family who have shared a diversity and wealth of musical theatre with our local bayside community and in earlier years, the community of south-east Queensland. Savoyards’ treasure trove of amazing memorabilia deserves to be archived to celebrate our history as Queensland’s longest continuously running musical theatre society.

So that we can share our story with you, we have initially started putting together snapshots of every show performed since inception in 1961. These snapshots include our programmes, photos, news clippings and when possible, other media such as radio interviews and promotional print material.

 

Please be aware that some archival images reflect the cultural context of the time in which the shows were performed and do not reflect Savoyards’ current policy of inclusivity and cultural awareness.

We hope to expand this archive to share aspects of Savoyards which reflect our wider participation in this community through the Savoyard Singers and other events such as Concerts, Spring Parades, Wynnum-Manly Eisteddfod and the Centenary of ANZAC Day.
